About The Bicycle Standard

I work directly with independent bicycle retailers and suppliers across the country, helping them understand their numbers, their systems, and their decision-making.
The same patterns show up everywhere, strong businesses are held back by inconsistent processes, unreliable data, and pressure from upstream decisions they don’t control.

The Bicycle Standard exists to fix that.
Not with opinions, but with tools, systems, and clear benchmarks that help shops understand what’s working, what isn’t, and what to do next.

A standard is not a rating, score, or rank. It is a clear, pass/fail definition of what works built from real data and shared openly so anyone can use it.

While this work starts with retailers, the goal is broader.
Suppliers, brands, and service providers all shape the conditions retailers operate in.
A stronger industry requires alignment across all of them.
